Jo jo came to us from Kimberlee farms in California. She brings some of the top blood in the sport to our program.
As a 3-year old Zapatero was Reserve Champion at the Stallion inspection and as a 4-year old he was Reserve Champion in the Stallion Competition at 1.10m level. Three years later, Zapatero was a finalist in the Dutch Championship for 7-years old Jumpers, and 2nd in the finals of the Youngster Tour at Geesteren. Ridden by Jessica Kürten, Zapatero won the GP of the KWPN Stallion Show 2015 and the VHO Trophy in 2013. They had amazing results like 6th in the GP Ebreichsdorf, 7th in the Championat of Salzburg, 8th in the GP Oliva and 10th in the WC Zürich. Then ridden by Robert Vos, Zapatero won the Medium Tour Final in Wierden, won a class at CSI De Wolden and they were 7th in the Championat von Kiel. Zapatero’s offspring have attracted attention in the show ring. They exhibit reflexes, technique, attitude and scope. The first offspring are competing at Grand Prix level.
Jojo’s dam line goes back to Indoctro. Indoctro is one of the world’s greatest sires. His offspring continue to achieve successes at the highest level and a significant number of offspring have competed at Olympic Games. In Rio de Janeiro Indoctro was represented by his sons Imothep and Amarillo. At previous Olympics were: Vedor, Casadora, VDL Orestus, Don Porfirio and Nike. Last year saw many super results from Indoctro descendants: Baileys, with the Dutch team, was the winner of the Nations Cup final in Barcelona and the Nations Cup in Falsterbo. He placed 2nd in the GP Amsterdam, 3rd in the GP Redefin, and 6th in the GP Bolesworth. VDL Groep Arera C won a large class in London, was 2nd in the GCT GP at Estoril, 3rd in the GP La Baule and 3rd in the GP Mexico-city. Hello M’Lady won a GCT-class in Mexico-city, was 8th in the GCT GP of Shanghai and 9th in the GCT GP of Miami. Cas 2 was 4th in the GP Wellington and 6th in the GP Luik, Dalien Swally R.P won the GP Kronenberg, Celebrity VDL won the GP de Wolden, Christy Jnr won Falsterbo’s Derby, and Wittinger VDL won the GP Sonoma Park etc. Indoctro has sired a significant number of ‘Ster, Keur and Elite’ mares and has several approved sons in other studbooks.
