Angel is one of our big warmblood ladies. I bought her as a 2 year old, because I love her sire. She turned out to be a lot like him. She has a smooth, brave scopey jump and big elegant movement. He foals are also big and correct, with a natural keenness for jumping.
Her sire, Urymate de Ste. Hermelle possesses exceptional conformation, presence and pedigree. He completed his 100 day test in Switzerland and successfully competed in show jumping Internationally to CSIO level. He's a producer of many well recognized progeny in jumping and dressage. Most famous, Urion II - successful at CSIO Poznan 2000. His first foals in Canada arrived in 2001.
Her mom's dad is Siberfeil. He stood at stud in Switzerland prior to importation to Canada. There, he produced offspring with excellent marks. He is registered with Holstein Verband in Germany and with the Swiss Verband. Silberpfeil sires foals with excellent movement, superb disposition, correct confirmation, and exceptional jumping ability. Most of his foals possess his size, all possess his presence as well as his intelligence and kind nature. All of his qualities are supported by his impressive pedigree, which combines the famous jumping bloodlines of Silbersee and the bloodlines of Cor de la Bryere, who has produced top performance horses in all three disciplines: dressage, eventing, and showjumping. Silberpfeil is directly out of the sireline of Silbersee, who has competed in a number of international showjumping competitions under Dr. Michael Ruping. In 1985, he won the German Championship, Aachen Grand Prix, Neumunster Grand Prix, Derby in Sweeden, Derby in Denmark and competed four times in the World Cup. In 1987, he was the winner in the Hamburg Derby and placed in the World Cup. Later, he was short listed for the 1988 Seoul Olympics. Silberpfeil's dam, Nancy, is out of Cor de la Bryere, a producer of award-winning stallions and mares at the grading shows and he has produced top level competition horses. These include Contrast ridden by Herbert Blocker in the 3-day Event World Championships in 1982, international showjumpers Costa and Caletto I, and Olympic bronze medallist, Corlandus [dressage 1988] ridden by Margit Otto Crepin, to name a few.
Also in this big beauty's pedigree, is Wodan. Wodan is a "sport-approved" elite breeding stallion, approved by the German Hannoverian, Oldenburg, Hessen, Rheinlander, and Badenwuerthenberg (Bawue) registries. He stood at Uelzen, Germany, prior to his importation to North America, and competed at Grand Prix level under Franke Sloothak in the mid 1980's. Bred by Klans Wulff and owned at one time by Gisela Schockemohle, WODAN is a half-brother to Winnebago, the New Zealand import who produced Mark Todd's Olympic show jumper Bago and Andrew Nicholson's eventer Tempo. Another half-brother, Witzbold, sired Monopoly; imported into the United States from New Zealand after becoming the 1989 Show Jumper Horse of the Year with Jon Cottle. Wodan's full brother Wunschtraum, stands at the Westfalen State Stud in Germany. Wodan himself has produced several International Grand Prix offspring, including Tascalusa, Wallentino, and Wodyna. Another son, FBW Wembley, is one of the top performance horses at Grand Prix level in the Badenwuerthenberg Association.
