Patina is an incredible broodmare, who produces nothing less than exceptional foals. Her babies are big, smart and beautiful.
Patina's sire is Pik Kasso, who is by Phantast. Phantast's pedigree includes some of the finest dressage and jumping bloodlines. His sire is the Hanvoverian stallion Pik Solo, who has produced many successful performance horses at all levels of competition. His grandsire is the legendary Pik Koeing who sired 19 approved Hanvoverian stallions and over 200 main stud book mares. Pik Koeing's offspring have won more than 1.5 million DM. Phantast's dam is the Westphalian mare Dusalin, an outstanding jumper. She produced many premium foals including Prinz David, the sale topper at the 1991 Glenwood Farm Production sale. Phantast's Grandsire Renaldo, known for his elasticity and good temperament, was one of the most requested stallions at the station at Warendorf in Germany, producing many outstanding sons and German auction horses.
On Patina's mom's side, is Lucky Boy II. Lucky Boy has been sired by the Holsteiner stallion Lavall II in his first year. This son of Landgraf I is, just like his brother Lavall I, very successful in German breeding.
From his dam Lucky Boy has the blood of the great stallion Calypso I (Cor de la Bryere). Calypso I has been established as one of the great sires of dressage horses. Next to that we know him also as father of a series of international jumping horses, of which Calando (Björn Nagel) and Cabinett I (Dirk Schröder) are best known of. Lucky Boy’s grand dam Fosoritin is a descendant of the influential thoroughbred stallion Marlon xx, bred from the well known Raimond daughter Biserta from the Holsteiner Stamm 776. Of this line of dams are more than 65 approved stallions, amongst them legends like Ramiro Z (Raimond), Cortino I-II (Cor de la Bryere), Mandarin (Marder), High Valley Z (Ahorn), My Lord (Masetto), Lord Incipit (Lord) and Acorado (Accord II). Biserta is also the mother of 4 approved stallions i.e. Calvados I+II. Lucky Boy is one the best stallions of his year. Which has been acknowledged with rank 1 at the Italian rating for jumping horse purveyors in the years 2002 and 2003. Next to that Lucky Boy has a profound record of his own. Lucky Boy placed himself amongst others for CSIO in Verona, Cervia, San Patrignano, Rome, Modena, Palermo, Bagnaia, Ascona, Münster, Dortmund and Spangenberg. The year 2003, with the victory of the Masters in Vigo, runner up at the Audi-campionat in Münster, a 3th place in the Final of the Sires of the World competition in ‘s Hertogenbosch and a 4th ranking in the Championat of Dortmund, can be described as the most successful season of Lucky Boy. Lucky Boy has already produced several horses jumping at international level.
