Le Sauteur RPH
2017 CWB colt
Leeto Z x Belle Nuit
Le Sauteur RPH
"Sutter" is a big, leggy and powerful colt, with a pedigree of bpth successful show jumpers AND dressage horses.

Leeto Z is an exceptional young stallion in many ways. Beautiful, correct conformation, powerful and elegant movement, combined with incredible scope make him an all-around exceptional athlete. Although, perhaps his best feature, is his intelligent and engaging personality that not only makes him a brave and willing partner, but also a quick learner and simple straight forward ride. At his Canadian Warmblood Stallion Performance Test, he was the highest scoring stallion for temperament and rideablity. From what we can tell, his foals all seem to have his temperament as well.

Leeto Z’s sire is Lucino, who is by Landlord Z who is by Landgraf I. By the end of the 1980's, Landgraf I was rated best amongst all sires that had stood at stud in West Germany, and his sons can be found in most breeding regions throughout the world. Landgraf I became the most important sire of show jumpers in the twentieth century having sired the most money winning show jumping offspring in the World.

Leeto z’s mom is by Crack I who is by Corrado I. Through his dam's grandsire, Corrado I combines the blood of Cottage Son xx with that of Cor de la Bryere. Furthermore, he was unrelated to Ladykiller xx. All of these factors contributed to Corrado's own success, and his success as a match to the Holsteiner broodmare population. As a six-year-old, Corrado I was a finalist at the 1991 German Federal Championships, and he began his international career the following year under Franke Sloothaak. The qualities that made Corrado I a Nations Cup-caliber jumper - cleverness, quick reflexes, power, and speed - also made him a challenging partner. Sloothaak described the young stallion as distractible with a strong temperament, and quite difficult to ride. The pair competed on the international circuit to the World Cup level. As of 2006, Corrado I has produced 95 offspring for the international level show jumping arena. In 2008, Corrado I was ranked in 19th in the WBFSH list of top sires of FEI jumpers.

Cor de la Bryere is one of the most influential stallions in modern Warmblood breeding and can be seen in more than 70% of modern Holsteiner bloodlines. He was recognized as the "Reserve Stallion of the Century" second only to Landgraf I. "Corde" has produced many top-level competition horses including Contrast, the three-day Eventer, the international show jumpers, VDL Corland and Costa, plus the great 1988 Olympic Dressage Silver Medalist, Corlandus. He also sired Calando I through IV, Caletto I, II, and III, Calypso I through V, and Cordino. His offspring tend to have good free shoulders along with higher knee action making them very suitable for jumping. In 2004, Cor de la Bryère ranked 6th and in 2006 he ranked 15th for the USEF Leading Jumper Sires. Leeto’s dams sire is Ramiro Z. In 1969, Ramiro (G Ramiro Z) was the absolute top stallion of his performance year and was not only successful with breeding, but also in his jumping career under Fritz Ligges. He excelled in his puissance performances (up to 2.20 m) as well as in competition where speed was essential.

Ramiro moved to Studbook Zangersheide in 1979 and went to the Netherlands two years later. On the basis of his breeding efforts that earned him world-wide fame, he was declared Horse of the Year at Jumping Amsterdam in 1992. Ramiro is still at the top of the indexes in both jumping and dressage for many breed organizations today. In 2004, he ranked 8th for the USEF Leading Jumper Sires and 9th for Leading Hunter Sires for the.

With these world class bloodlines, elegant, modern type, tremendous work ethic and even temperament, Leeto Z is proving to be a sire that passes all of these attributes on to his progeny.

Sutter's dam is our dutch mare Belle Nuit. Nuit is a beautiful young mare, both correct and attractive. She hasn't had her own performance career, because she was bred and owned by an amateur, who then sold her to us. She has had one foal, who is exceptional. She passes on her sire's big fancy movement and lovable temperament.

Her sire, Sir Sinclair is the perfect combination of temperament, talent and bloodlines. An impressive athlete, he competed through Prix St. Georges with scores in the ‘70s. As a young horse, he was named the 2005 Markel/USEF National FEI 6-Year-Old Champion and the USDF FEI 6-Year-Old Horse of the Year. In 2006, Sir Sinclair won the Prix St. Georges Challenge at Dressage at Lexington, with a score of 72.5%. As a sire he’s equally remarkable. He won the Get of Sire class at the prestigious Dressage at Devon Breed Show an unprecedented four consecutive times from 2006-2009. He is the sire of an Approved stallion, as well as winning FEI horses, breed show champions and Star and Keur mares. In 2011, four Sir offspring were named KWPN-NA North American Champions in both dressage and hunter divisions, showing his impressive versatility as a sire.

Nuit's dam, is a Canadian bred thoroughbred, named Talkin Express. We were told she raced, but we only knew her in her older years. She did compete in the 1.30m-1.40m under a tough grand prix rider, so she did have the scope and the edge to compete at that level.
