Darc Lady Z
2018 Zangersheide filly
Darcon Z x Poor Girl Z
Darc Lady Z
Darc Lady is a very special filly, who was orphaned prior to her being weaned.  We bought her from the breeder, because of her amazing pedigree and because we had other foals weaned for her to live with.

Dracarys' sire is Darcon Z. While Darcon Z does not have a performance record of his own, his sire Darco needs no introduction. For Five consecutive years, the great stallion Darco led the World Breeding Federation of Sport Horse ranking as the best jumping horse progenitor. He currently has the most offspring that competed at Grand Prix level. It is a record which no single sire has ever achieved since the ranking was first developed in 1995. Moreover, Darco is one of the few sires of the present ranking who previously appeared in the original rankings from 1995. In other words, Darco has been at the top for more than fifteen years. Reasons enough to assume, at this time, that Darco is the best jumping horse progenitor ever in show jumping history. With Ludo Philippaerts/BEL, he was placed in Grand Prix, show jumping Nations Cups and World Cups and produced with Sapphire/McLain Ward/USA, Valentina vd Heike/Jos Lansink/BEL, Winningmood/Luciana Diniz/POR and Parco/Ludo Philippaerts etc., absolute top stars of the show jumping sport.
Darcon's Dam's sire, Contender has proven to be one of the most influential sons of Calypso II . Calypso II was an advanced level show jumper with Michael Ruping before retiring to stud where he sired a number of quality show jumping horses. He also sired a number of top grade dressage competitors.Contender was bred by Niko Detlef , Westfehmarn , Contender is out of Gofine who's grand sire was the late Ladykiller xx . Gofine produced several top show jumpers including the international performing horse Ulina .
Contender is the sire of over 40 approved stallions and equally 40 national premium mares. He has dominated German Breeding values for many years now and continues to produce exciting young stallions from which our own gelding Greenacres Captain Z is descended. Contender's influence spreads through Germany mainly through his two sons Cordobes I and II . They were aquired by the Westphalian stud at Warendorf. Cordobes I was the winner of his performance test in 1998 . His jumping score of 142.29 nearly matched that of his famous sire Contender which stood at 146.62. So performance record or not, Darcon has the blood behind him to produce exceptional jumpers.

Darc Lady Z's dam was Poor Girl Z.  This mare was by Poor boy, a successful grand prix stallion ridden by Swiss olympic rider Beat Mandli. His sire was the impressive Polydor. POLYDOR , his father, Westphalian by Pilatus, was first in the world ranking of fathers of winners in 1999.
Polydor, with fourteen offspring in the list of the world's top 150, dominated the end of the 90s without sharing. His best son was long Two Step who will be dethroned by Positano (3rd world performer in 2000 with Beat Mandly). Then come Poor boy, Padua and Sonora la Silla, three close relatives. Other Polydor in international: Giswatt Pamina, Bellenuit, Siva Polarkönig (respectively 57, 93 and 194 th world for the decade 1990-2000).

ASCONA II, Poor boy's mother, is part (to the equal of Bourrée for France) of the best female genitors in the World. Pure Holstein of the 4965 family, her first son competed in dressage at an advanced level in the 90s. In 84, she gave birth to Pedita by Polydor, Poor Boy's own sister, who immediately began breeding with Zeus ex Gordios engend Zodiac, big international winner (6th of the CSIO Grand Prix of Zuidlaren). Pedita then competed at the highest level under the saddle of Ian Tops under the famous name of Sonora La Silla (6th of the Pulsar Crown, winner of World Cup events). In 85, always crossed with Polydor, was born Pusteblume, filly who was quickly crossed, too, with Zeus. Zandor Z, winner in the CSI, CSIO was the result of this successful pairing (winner of the Sire Of The World Bordeaux 98). Pusteblume enjoyed the same success in the sport as his sister Sonora La Silla and his brother Poor Boy, under the name of Sprehe Padua. She was the winner we know by placing 7th in the World Cup Final in 1998 with Ralf Schneider. It totals more than 175.000 € of gains. Ascona's third son was Poor boy and then came Pikes Peak, winner in CSI. We could not dream of a stronger pedigree.

We are looking forward to watching this filly develop!
